A Recap

So I have decided not to post the rest of the pictures from this summer because they were taken in Tucson, Arizona which is where we will be reporting to spring training at the beginning of March. So I will take plenty of pictures there in about a month! We lived in Tucson for a month in a hotel. Thankfully it was a very nice hotel with a pool and workout room but needless to say by the end of the month I was ready to GET OUT. I needed space! I also was tired of eating out and eating foods you can only store at room temp or in a fridge... but just to be there with Aaron was a fun adventure and I wouldn't have had it any other way :)

It's crazy how fast time has flown by... Our offseason has been from October until March and we have thoroughly enjoyed the break! Sometimes we wish we were normal and were able to have 9 to 5 jobs and a cute little house but God quickly reminds us that this is what He has called us to do at this time in our lives and because of that we are CONTENT.

Well since this has been a very WORDY post, I will end on this pretty note...

I get to see my Linds this weekend!! She got married in December and I haven't seen her since the wedding so I'm making the trek up to Tupelo for the weekend. Yay!!

Our First Year

Here are some pictures that show what we have been up to our first year of marriage:

We got married on February 7 under a canopy of live oak trees in our hometown of Fairhope, Alabama... everyone wore their cowboy/girl boots and we had a GOOD TIME!

I graduated from MSU and moved to Asheville, North Carolina where Aaron was playing ball.
This is our humble abode that was attached to "Ms. Linda's" house.

The beautiful blue ridge mountains... the view from our back porch.

My view to and from every roadtrip.

Katie Dodson was a Godsend. She is married to Stephen Dodson, one of Aaron's good friends and teammates. We did a lot of traveling, cooking, and cheering at baseball games!

Aaron and I at the Asheville Tourists ballpark.

Because of some shoulder trouble (Aaron is a hard-throwing relief pitcher), the Rockies sent us to Tri Cities, Washington where he could rehab and work with a very good pitching coach. So we packed up our most valuable things and headed out west.

But before I moved to Washington to be with Aaron our BEST friends in the whole world, Courtney and Clay, tied the knot!

Tri Cities is in southeastern Washington about 3 hours from Seattle and believe it or not- we were in the desert! It was still very pretty and huge wine country.

In Boise, Idaho after a game...

Seattle was our FAVORITE place Aaron played this summer.

One of my favorite places in Washington: 7 11 to get a SLURPEE! I think I came here every other day.

Well that's all I can post tonight because I've really gotten into an episode of CSI:NY and I also don't have all the pictures I need to add. That's all for today :)

Welcome!

In an attempt to document our travels and day to day life, I have created this blog for myself- because journaling and scrapbooking are not my specialties- and for anyone who wants to keep updated on where we are and what we are doing. The people who know me best would say that computers are the FARTHEST thing from my specialties but I am challenging myself, through this blog, to become more in tune with the fast-paced technological world of the 21st century. Aren't yall proud? :)

I want this blog to capture the special memories and opportunities that Aaron and I get to share together as newlyweds. I hope this blog will tell "our story" in words and pictures and give everyone who reads this a glimpse into our lives.
