Merrrrrrry Christmas readers!!!!!!!



I know, I know... I've been slacking in the blog arena.

Could it be because I feel like Newman in the picture below? Are you stressed, scared, and/ or frantically busy during this holiday season? If you are, we {Newman and myself} feel your pain.

Or maybe you feel like Rocky... smothered, annoyed, and trapped by hovering family members... 

Ok sorry... I'm having way too much fun with these pictures and no, I don't feel like Rocky and I hope you don't either...  Newman and I are more on the same page. 

Right now, my plate is full. I have been filling my time with working, cooking, family, friends, marathon training and Christmas get-togethers.The plate above isn't yet because I wanted you to see how cute my Meemaw's little Christmas dishes were this weekend. Her little holly glasses were pretty too.

We have been making some goodies... like caramel apples...

sugar cookies...

... and peppermint bark.

My mom has made White Chocolate Peppermint Bark every Christmas for as long as I can remember and it is delish. It literally melts in your mouth.

I've also been tearing up some "Cuties". {literally} They're so easy to peel and I love how tart they taste. Maybe that's why my throat is sore!

One of Aaron's baseball buddies {Rex Brothers} came into town last week to hunt and hang out and we had a ball.

The boys took us on a very cold and obviously, muddy ride! I think it was a competition to see how dirty they could get us. Boys!

We've been celebrating Christmas with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins...

A few weeks ago, we decorated our tree. It's tradition that we all decorate the tree with all our favorite ornaments we've collected over the years while listening to Christmas music and it doesn't matter if you just got out of the shower or went running as you can tell...

I hope you're busy in a good way and that you don't feel like poor Newman. I also hope that I will be back very soon with some more Christmas pictures.

I know, I know... I'm always putting up photos of my family... but I love them! And they clean up pretty darn good.

These were taken on Thanksgiving day at my grandparent's farm in Mississippi.

Picture taking always make us go crazy. Remember last year?

But we're always glad we have them when it's over!

And just to give y'all a little update: Aaron started his throwing program last week and feels great so far. However, he's only been "tossing" at 60 ft and he will slowly work up to full speed over the next few months. That may or may not be by the time Spring Training rolls around {March}. We will see. We covet your prayers for his healing!
