Pretty Planning

Raise your hand if you love a good planner!

Photobucket

Ever heard of Erin Condren? Well, my friend Jane Gray introduced me to her website and after viewing the promo video about how the "daily life planner" works, I was a sucker sold!

Photobucket

I wanted a detailed {and very cute} planner to organize all of my test dates, due dates, birthdays, workouts, and other pertinent info of my daily life for this coming year of nursing school. I love that I will be able to look back over it next July and feel an enormous sense of "I can't believe I just did all that!" What was I thinking?

There are many different designs you can choose from and extra perks you can add.

You can start with any month and customize your planner to fit YOU.

Ok, well now it's off to study for the three exams I have this week... Maybe I'll come back sooner than later on a study break to blog about this past weekend. Until then folks!

"Camp Fairhope"

This past weekend, Aaron's cousin Lisa brought her two littles to stay for a few days of fun and recreation... which we later started calling "Camp Fairhope".  Aaron and I quickly realized we know how to wear out some children! They had a reeeeeally good time though...

We went to the pool, the park, the ice cream shop, the toy store, the bay, and not to mention several good eating spots. {We're at Fly Creek Cafe in the pics below}.

I seem to be wearing this blue dress every day I take pictures and I'm starting to think I need it in another color {or two.} It's perfect for summertime!

I know everyone says your life gets hectic when you start to have kids but a few times I suggested to Aaron that maybe we should let the kids take a break from all of these little "activities" we camp directors had planned.

Photobucket

They did seem to have so much fun though... and we realized through our own experience with little ones, that Fairhope really is a great place for kids. This is the face we got when Momma Lisa said it was time to leave...

Fun was had to the very bitter end... and then some.

We can't wait to have them back!!

{I survived my first day of nursing school FYI!!}

The Calm Before the Storm

Photobucket

Aaron and I made our way to Mississippi in the middle of last week and stayed through the weekend. We're trying to soak up all the time with family that we can before hell year nursing school starts for me.

As much as I've been blowin' and goin' these past few weeks trying to get every little thing done... a getaway to MS made for a relaxing week. There's something about walking through the garden, putting up vegetables, drinking coffee with Mrs. Vickie in the mornings, eatin' Pop's {Aaron's grandmother} good cooking, and shootin' guns :) that helps us wind down.

Oh, and we had some little visitors come to see us!

I guess they felt like they could relax too...

I'm finishing up summer school this week and I hope to get some more relaxing family time this weekend.  Monday is my first day of nursing school. Say a prayer for me!!

Birthday Weekend

Last weekend was my birthday weekend! My sister so kindly reminded me that I'm halfway to 50...  But, 25 started out pretty sweetly with this ice cream cake my mom made.

Photobucket

Our weekend was spent in the backwoods of Mississippi in a cozy cabin on my aunt and uncle's land.

Photobucket

We enjoyed the views and swung on the ginormous rope swing...

We laid around and talked and visited...

We watched the rain...

... and caught and cleaned fish...

We ate and ate and ate and ate some more...

{I'll blog about the recipe for this Homemade Orange sherbet on a later date}.

Photobucket

... and these stray little puppies enjoyed a rib each...

Photobucket

They were sweet little homeless munchkins!

Remember the ginormous rope swing I mentioned above?

Photobucket

Notice there are two platforms to jump off of... One for weenies and one if you're hardcore. I was a weenie at first but then I graduated. It was SO much fun!! {I was sore for three days}.

Photobucket

Some had to be drug coaxed...

The rope swing provided hours of free entertainment for Grandmomma and Grandadaddy and the puppies.

Thanks to my family {and friends}, my 25 years of life have been filled to the brim... in a good way.
