It was a very SWEET day for these two birthday girls last weekend. 

Georgetown cupcake (ever seen the show DC cupcakes?) made not one special delivery, but TWO! They are my mom and Julie's favorite cupcakes and after eating them for the first time, they're my favorite now too! They taste homemade. 

I think I just sat and stared at them for an hour.

... and things got even sweeter when Sucre macarons made an appearance...

The celebration continued at dinner...

Mom has always said, "Julie was the best birthday present I ever received!"

It was a pretty sweet day.

The Godfather

A couple of Sundays ago, Aaron and I traveled over to Mississippi to be there for little Tucker's christening. Aaron is his godfather! We were so blessed to be there for Brad and Emily.

Little man was quite the HAM during the ceremony! He thought it was hilarious when the priest drew a cross on his little forehead. When he wasn't smiling, he was sneezing or trying to talk... we were all thoroughly entertained.

Aaron was so proud to be up there in support of the little dude. It means so much to have this responsibility.

And April is his godmother! Tucker man is so blessed.

After the ceremony, we had a little get together at Brad and Emily's new house.

And at the end of the day... Tucker had had enough. It's ok buddy, I feel your pain most days.

We love you sweet boy.

Coming up for air

Lordy, lordy... I'm not even gonna start and explain what the last few weeks have been like... Just read the title of my post and know that I'm not out of it yet either.

Also know, that I am truly loving what I'm learning. The only problem is that just when I have mastered the first concept/technique we're moving onto the third... but I'm hangin' in there! 

I will hopefully be able to get back on track in the blogosphere this weekend because despite all of this school, we've had a LOT going on the past few weeks and it's about time I let you in on everything!
