Living for this Week

During the past several weeks, I kept telling Jane Gray {regarding my upcoming trip to visit in California} , "Oh my word, you have no idea how I am literally LIVING for this week!" ... and I truly was. School is so interesting but so intense and a relaxing week off on the sunny Pacific coast was like therapy for me.

Getting to know James was so so special and seeing Jane Gray as a mother was an experience we've always talked and dreamed about. We had so much fun "playing house" with baby James and I learned so much about what daily life with a little one is truly like... nothing short of an adventure, especially when you're blowin' and goin' like we were!

The past three weeks...

I would say the last three weeks have been a whirlwind for me, but let's be honest- they were more like a category 5 hurricane. Not for Belle though, she loves to snooze when I'm studying, and thats ok with me.

Court and I ran a half marathon in Fairhope! 

We weren't exactly in the shape we had planned to be in... As in, I may have been running two days a week up until the race (thanks to life)... So naturally, we weren't feeling too hot after 13 miles... but we really did run a good race and had fun while doing it! (Just not right after)

I've gotten hooked on this pistachio ice cream from Haagen Dazs... no other brand will cut it!

And in the meantime, I took study breaks to hang out with these two on the computer (Jane Gray and baby James!!) ...and guess where I am right now as I type this?!

CALIFORNIA!!! 

I had a week off from class (not schoolwork, just class) and I flew to San Diego on Tuesday. I finally got to meet this little burrito face to face! We have been soaking up every minute of our time together and I have taken a gazillion photos that I hope to share with y'all really soon. (Here are our photos from last year's SoCal trip)

Until then, I will be kissing those sweet lips...

She's Ours!!

{Yes, that fountain water is pink-in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month}

If you have followed this blog of mine for a few years, you are probably very familiar with Belle. You may also know that her parents had a sweet little bouncin' baby boy named Tucker a few months ago. Well, when they realized that they were no longer able to give her the attention that they felt she deserved... they proposed the idea of letting us adopt her. And we said YES!! She and I kind of go together don't you think?

Brad, Emily and Tucker came to Fairhope several weekends ago (oh my word I am sooooo behind!) and we showed them around town...

... and that included lunch at Panini Pete's. (But Aaron got the hamburger...)

They said their goodbyes to Belle and instructed her to "be a good girl for Uncle Aaron and Aunt Jilly" and she has obeyed their every wish and command.

She loves living in Fairhope!

And she loves the "treats" her Bri (my mom) gives her... notice the cheeto stain on her hoodie...

She has been so much fun to have around and in the afternoons when I get home, I'm almost as excited to see her as she is to see me.
